  • Team Hybrid - Performance Auto & Sound "SEMA Issue w/ 2 Hybrid Cars" December 2008

    Hybridz:

Performance Auto & Sound "SEMA Issue w/ 2 Hybrid Cars" December 2008. Hybrid and Import Industry History in the making. This issue was handed out at SEMA to our industry peers. I am showing all of you this special issue not only because we are in it twice but it won't be on newstands for another 1-2 weeks. Here is an advance preview.

Over the past 13 years, our team has inspired many, brought greatness to more people than we ever imagined, and ingrained ourself in the public consciousness with such force of will that we have become a brand and legendary name. Almost everything we touch, turns into gold. Every suggestive idea, innovative customization, almost every make/model of car, display, Hybrid Hunnyz, trophy, sponsor, trend, and even our management team of co-leaders have been looked up or copied by various import teams throughout the nation.

As your leader, it is my job to continue to lead by example and do what I must behind the scenes in order to continue making Hybrid History and keep us ahead of the competition. Actions speak louder than words. Not only are we making Hybrid History, we are making Import Industry History "again x2" by placing two Hybrid cars on the same issue (SEMA Issue) in Performance Auto & Sound Magazine. We will be the first team to ever do this two times.

We thought making cover of March 2008 Super Street issue w/ the Scion xD and two Hybrid cars (IS350/EVO MR VIII) on the same cover issue Performance Auto & Sound "Cover" 2008 Annual Buyer's Guide and "Cover" PASMAG Overdrive Magazine was amazing. Now, we just topped ourselves again. As all of you know now, PAS is two magazines in one. There is PAS and in the magazine, there is another magazine called PASMAG Overdrive. The editors in chief have decided to run these two Hybrid cars in the SEMA 2008 issue. This was the issue PAS handed out to all the industry partners, customers and fans @ their (PAS) SEMA booth. Not only were Team Hybrid cars present at SEMA, but we were also in print. You were not be able to attend SEMA without seeing or reading about our cars.

Congratulations to SoCal probie, Frank Klepadlo's 2006 Scion tC in a 4 page feature in Performance Auto & Sound Magazine December 2008 issue, pgs. 074-078. PAS wrote, "When's he's not on the clock, Klepadlos association with Team Hybrid keeps him very active in the SoCal car scene showing off his own customized 2006 Scion tC.... There are even rumours it will appear in next summers FnF film. That would be nice bonus, but thanks to great sponsors like Karl @ AA Autoworks, Toyo Tires, Rotora, Sparco USA, Motul, Monarch Wheels and James Lin of Team Hybrid & HybridHunnyz.com, it's already a force to be reckoned with."

Congratulations to LV probie, Archie Concon's 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage on being in a 5 page feature in PASMAG Overdrive Magazine which is inside of the December 2008 issue, pgs. 220-224. PASMAG Overdrive wrote, "Apart from the annual gatherings for SEMA and CES, the sweet sounds of turbo spool and tire screeching are seldom heard on the Vegas strip... Concon and his Mirage are proud members of Team Hybrid/Hybridhunnyz.com and PAS would like to thank James Lin and Chris Haydostian for helping find this one-of-a kind project. Props to Concon for investing his money into something we can all appreciate rather than losing it at the casino tables. This was a game he could never lose."

What a historical and record breaking year we are having. All of us are prouder than ever to be part of Team Hybrid and/or HybridHunnyz.com.

    Hybrid luv,

    James Lin
