    Jeep Guy for San Diego

    Hey Team Hybrid!

My name is Orlando. I currently live in Temecula, but the company I work for is based out of San Diego. I am a software engineer. I graduated with honors from University of Phoenix with my BS in IT with an emphasis on Software Engineering.

I have a number of hobbies including computers, photography, auto detailing, video games, boxing, and off-roading.

I have been interested in cars and modifications since I can remember. I have owned a '97 Mustang and a '07 Impreza. I currently own a '12 Jeep Wrangler Sport, a '10 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, and now a '16 WRX.

My friend Sean is part of Team Hybrid. I took one look at his car and I knew we'd be friends. He told me about the team, and showed me the car shows. That got me super interested in the team. I am already part of the San Diego Jeep Club and I love the team environment. You can learn a lot and also share what you know with like minded folks. I'd love to get involved with the car show scene.

I'd like to share my experience in the off-road world with Team Hybrid. It would be a great opportunity to expand what is currently being show cased by the team. I know the team primarily focuses on imports, but Jeep Wranglers have the largest aftermarket support of any vehicle. The addition of the new category of vehicle will surely open up new doors for the club as a whole.

My current build is the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I've modified it based on functionality as I do actually take it off road. I've done a lift, armor, lights, stereo, seats, rims, and tires. Future mods are on hold until I break something but include new axles and a roll cage.

Welcome to the family! I love off roading! I've done everything from trails, mudding, to crawling. I'm not a pro but I've been into trucks and cars since I can remember so I really connect with the off road world. Have you done the Mojave Trail?

    Hey Armando,

Thanks again! I haven't done the Mojave Trail yet. We hit up Big Bear, Ocotillo, Anza, and other San Diego trails regularly. We went to Moab, UT this year. Last year we were in Logandale, NV. Hopefully we'll get to plan a cool overland trip across the Mojave this year.

    Hey Tbot,

Hoping to get out and start meeting everyone on the team. Between work and family it might be at least a couple more weeks before I can start heading out with the team. I am looking forward to it though.
