• getting some wheels..want some feedback from the fam ;)

    Hey Fam,

I came accross some MRR Wheels. They are 19 x 8.5f & 19 x 9.5r. The price is good so i might be getting in soon. So I want to know if anyone has come across this brand and if there is any good or bad feedback? $1,800 with tires =O.

This is not my car btw. Its a shop car.

MRR has been a long time company that makes knock offs. the ususal 3-pc look but casted in a 1pc wheel for 1/2 the price. Think of them as ADR. They are along the same lines. Also the wheels are soft....so a no-no for LA roads unless you have a great wheel repair guy to hit up often.

Not to dog em, but not my preference for a "Hybrid" car. Again, Just my $0.02. I'd look into a more forged set for the "C" and/or a Euro line that rep's Baller status to mod a "C". Examples are Lowrenser (SP?), Brabus, etc. All the major Merc. Aftermarket companies make wheels and will give it a proper look and status to be on the car. Or you can try the up-and-coming trend of mixing JDM parts on a DTM car. ie: VW with WORK wheels. Some dog it, but evidentally it works. remember, Grain of salt.

I see. Does anyone make similar style rims? I really like the design/style of the first one. But i'm worried about the wheel being soft issue. As for Lowrenser, brabus, ect. Yea i've heard of them. Doesn't fit the budget right now. When you have child support coming after you. The car hobby expense shrinks lol.

Maybe you guys can help me out to find some good rims? budget range around 3K with tires. Unless i can get some hookups on the tires? then i can spend more on the rims hehe. Below are the spec im looking for:

              19 x 8.5 front
              19 x 9.5 rear

              bolt pattern 5x112

Nobody says you have to run out and buy rims right this second. Save up and get the good shizzz.

Rims like WORK, Volk, HRE, IForged, Brabus, WALD, & Lorinser are made with WIN.

While rims like TSW, MRR, Tenzo, ADR, R1, Nippon, & Velox are made wtih FAIL.

woot..thanks for the recommendation..yea i was looking at HRE and asantis before but they are hella expensive lol. Anyways i'm just tired of looking at my stock 17 alloys lol..i should have had the dealer throw in some AMG rims as part of my contract. I think they would have given them to me too. =(

As many have said, go for quality as opposed to need/want. Just cause you want 19's doesn't mean you should get a cheap setup. Might as well build your car from the tunning section in Pep Boys if you follow that idea and rule of thumb. So point being, save up and get the good ish. All good things come to those who wait. Don't settle for sub-standard ish. just makes your build Sub-Standard (AKA Not "Hybrid" Quality). Again my $0.02.

On a side note, i do have a custom drilled set of 18x8.5 WORK Emotion CRs 5x112 bolt pattern in Sunset Gold with 90% BFW KDW thread for sale as well.

Black looks nice on White, but baller status is GOLD!
