  • WBC Intl Super Welterweight Championship - Las Vegas Hilton July 25th

I saw Fenwick win the decision from Malaipet at the San Manuel Casino. Malaipet shoulda won, but did not do enough to win the judges over. This rematch should have some spectacular moments indeed! Let me know if anyone is swinging by Vegas or if you live in Vegas and want to check out this bout. PM me up for special pricing on tickets. My uncle's WBC Muay Thai is sanctioning 3 titles in this event and my dad will be supervising.

England's Muaythai sensation Rich Fenwick will defend his WBC International Superwelterweight title in a rematch against Thailand's expat hotshot Malaipet in the Las Vegas Hilton on 25 July.

Fenwick stunned the United States when beat Malaipet in a close points decision in California and the showdown in Vegas has attracted enormous attention from Muaythai fans worldwide.

On the same card China's Muaythai superstar Kang En will defend his Super Lightweight International championship against the popular Vegas glamour fighter Kevin Ross. Kang En won the title from Ross in an historic Muaythai championship event in Beijing early this year. Little separated the two fighters is a thrilling encounter that is to be repeated - this time in front of Ross' home crowd.

Completing the championship triple event Californian Romie Adanza, the WBC national champion, gets his shot at the converted WBC International green belt fighting against the talented Englishman Paulo DaSilva.

WBC USA promoter Dennis Warner said the three championships event would be the Muaythai superfights for the year in Vegas.

"It doesn't get much better in terms of matchups. Malaipet-Fenwick ll, Kang Eng-Ross ll and Romie taking on Paulo. The event is already creating a big buzz in Vegas."

The championships will be supervised by Charlermkiat Suvanamas.

o very nice to hear! Dr. Jose Sulaiman gave my uncle, Pol. General Kovid Bhakdibhumi (also vice chairman of wbc boxing representing Thailand) his blessing to use the WBC name in order to open up classes for Muay Thai a couple of years ago. My dad is currently assigned to be a Supervisor for the bouts here in California and Nevada and I follow him around to the fights . I hope the WBC Muay Thai name can get more notoriety like its boxing counter-part...that would be a dream come true. Do u watch M-T?

Not so much because Im affiliated with MMA, UFC and Boxing so its time consuming to cover them both. But with MMA I think Muay Thai will have fighters transitioning. I think boxing and MT needs an infusion of new young fighters to boost their respective sports. My background is in boxing so it will always be close to me. I feel that what has helped it to rise is also apart of their current downfall, which is the promoters and managers anyway good luck with the next show.
