  • A more thorough Intro about myself

    Hello Team Hybrid,

My name is Jason Yoshi Nebril, but everyone calls me, Yoshi. I am a 32 year old flilipino blood california raised man that now resides in Las Vegas Nv. 98% of my family still resides in California, anywhere from San Deigo thru Sacramento. I was born and raised in San jose, my wife, kids and I decided to give Las vegas a shot at living back in 2007 and we are currently still here lol. so far so good i guess you could say. I have 3 kids daughter(13),son(7) and babygirl (2). My Wife and I were affected by the economy after living in vegas for just a few months. Times were hard and so after 6 months of planning/ business plans we decided to go into business for oursleves. It was tough but we stuck it out, kept our heads high and our eyes on the goal. My wife was running the business full time and i was part time business and full time Manager for Walgreens Co. on the LV strip. Out of a full work load and constent work hours i was able to still do what i liked doing, spending time with fam and going to carshows to stay updated in the scene. I was working on a 2002 Subura Wrx for a few years until i decided to lend my wrx to a friend who was in need for a car for his family. since then, he has paid my loan off and the car is officially his. i started over and found a 1978 Corolla Deluxe (ke30) (which im planning to sell). 7 months down the line i found a 1975 Corolla Sr 5speed. it was in great condition for the body but quit a bit of rust under the rocker panels. the intereior is 7/10, the engine was running but it was rough. Old School Engineering O.S.E here in las vegas is currently working on my car and found that my engine is no good. So my plans for the 75 are:

    -to restore the vehicles exterior

    -paint color: Candy Teal

    -to restore the interior

-interior color: Khaki leather or suede on all panels and dash/headliner; seat from Sparco Khaki

-add a jdm front and rear bumper(s)

-currently seeking for a lip/front air dam spoiler

    -jdm Sr5 fender flares

    -fender mirrors

    -rims; daily-rota shakotans 15X9 +0 offset 4X114.3; Show- TRD Tosco 13X9 4X114.3

-suspension: Tokico blue with coilover or cut and modded rear blocks/leaf springs

-brakes: convert the rear brakes to disc from 1986 Ae86 corolla and either Project Mu or Willwood all around

    -audio TBD

-engine TBD but, i've been researching S2k (f20) conversions and 4AGE motor swaps. my buddy from OSE gave me a good deal in a 4AGE complete swap but im still deciding if doing a S2000 swap will be better at the end. Plus, if i decide to go s2000 (f20) conversion then i would really like for an experience fabricator and shop to take the challenge. if you know of any shops who have completed an s2000 drop into a corolla, that would ease my mind lol.

I plan for this Corolla to be Magazine worthy, so if there is any other mods or ideas that might help achieve this goal, i will greatly appreicate it. That pretty much sums up the build of my Te37 Corolla. My goal time is 1-2 years.

My passion in cars started back when i was 15years old (1995) my father had built a Datsun 210, 2 Bimmers, a teggy gsr and honda civic eg coupe. During his builds i was there to witness the transformations of all his projects. i would say, "its my turn now", but till this day he is still part of my builds lol. I've started (but never finished) 3 honda civic eg hatches, ford focus zx3, subaru wrx, honda ef sedan, and now my corolla. I WILL FINISH THIS ONE! i feel that i am driven more than ever. During my time in the scene. i have rolled with Team Kosoku, Team Apokalypse and Team Prestige. I have not been in any team since 2007. I've always seen Team Hybrid in Magazines and Shows since i could remember. it was only until i met up with a buddy of mine here in LV that was in Team Hybrid. During the shows here in vegas i was always hanging around Team Hybrid and taking pictures for myself and for some other people in the team. after burning dvd's full of pictures of the LV chapter Team Hybrid, i realized how their cars are extremely built and how their builds becomes a crowd neck breaker! talking to the members i realized that its not just a passion or dream to do what they do...its a lifestyle. Lifestyle defines the way in which a person lives... im not saying all builds of Hybrid is all luxury...but i see beyond the build.. i see what it took to build what is built. Alot of spectators look and see finish product, but what Team Hybrid has created is a family that works as A UNIT to accomplish what the imagination can create. One thing i learned about business is that if you want to be an achiever; follow those who have achieved. Team Hybrid hasnt been around for 17 or so years because of sheer luck, but devotion, commitment, trust, and brute strength to achieve all expectations. Team Hybrid has changed the game in so many ways and I would like to be given the same opportunity to do the same with my lifestyle and project. I plan to meet all expectations that the Las vegas Chapter has for me and my car; as a unit and as an individual. I hope to make the Hybrid family proud. thank you

    Yoshi
